William L. Geary

William Geary graduated from Ohio State University in 1974 and received his J.D. from Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law in 1978; during his time in law school, he was the recipient of American Jurisprudence Awards in Contract Law and Secured Transactions. Admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1978, the Southern District of Ohio in 1979 and the US Supreme Court in 2013, Mr. Geary has extensive experience in matters relating to divorce, dissolution, custody/visitation, child support, prenuptial agreements, and postnuptial agreements. Through his practice, he has received Martindale-Hubbell’s Preeminent Lawyer Rating and has been rated as one of the three best attorneys in the City of Columbus by ThreeBestRated.

Haley Holmberg

Haley Holmberg graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2014 with a bachelor’s in psychology. Ms. Holmberg went on to study law at Valparaiso University wherein she maintained herself in the Honors Program and graduated in 2017. Ms. Holmberg has been practicing law since 2018, focusing on Family Law, including child support; child custody & visitation; divorce; dissolution; spousal support; and juvenile abuse, neglect, and dependency cases. Ms. Holmberg spends much of her practice as Guardian ad Litem focusing on the best interests of the children and advocating for a child’s voice to be heard among the upheaval that often comes in divorce and child custody cases. 

Stacey Gilbert

Attorney Stacey Gilbert only practices family law and enjoys what she does because she does something she loves – practicing law – while helping people.  She assists clients with divorces, dissolutions, legal separations, child custody, child support, spousal support (alimony), paternity, antenuptial (prenuptial) agreements, unmarried parent issues, and other family law matters.  She became an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Family Relations Law in 2012.

Attorney Gilbert graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Dayton in 1998.  Attorney Gilbert graduated magna cum laude with a law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2001.  While at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Attorney Gilbert was on Law Review.

Attorney Gilbert loves to give back to her community and finds opportunities to do so through being a member of Rotary International.  She attends local Rotary meetings and volunteers at local events.

Melissa Waterfield 

Melissa Waterfield graduated from the Ohio State University with a bachelor’s in history and economics.  She went on to study at Capital University Law School.  She is admitted to practice in Ohio and the U.S District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.  Ms. Waterfield spent over 20 years working in child support enforcement and is now at the Law Offices of William Geary where she practices family law.
